So on our Ram here, we can fit about five people in here, maybe even six. So with our covered bed and the basket, we're going to have all of our stuff out of the cabs. These are going to have a capacity of 300 pounds. And that's going to be very useful because by maxing out your basket, you can actually probably get at least another, maybe a bike rack and a lightweight bike on these rails as well.So Yakima did go the extra mile with this basket. Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ram 1500- Video

Today on our 2017 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT roof top cargo basket, part number TH859XT. The Thule Canyon XT is great for carrying cargo that either you can't put in your vehicle or if your truck bed is full. You can carry things such as luggage, sporting goods equipment or even some coolers. The cargo basket itself does have a nice aerodynamic shape to it, and that coupled with the fact that it comes with a faring at the front, it's actually going to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. This is very easy to install on your roof. Just simply clams around, and we also have knock outs available here so if you wanted to replace those with the Thule lock core system to secure to your roof rack, you can and those are sold separately. This measures 49" long by 40" wide by 6" tall at the highest point and can carry up to 150 pounds, although you always want to check with your vehicle's manual to ensure that it can withstand that weight on the roof. more

Curt Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ram 1500- Video

Today on our 2017 Ram 1500 we're going to be test fitting the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. The Curt Rooftop Cargo Basket is great for storing things that you don't want on the inside of your vehicle or if your truck bed is completely full such as luggage, sporting goods equipment, coolers, anything like that. It measures 47-1/2" long by 37" wide, by 4" deep so you'll have plenty of space to work with to store your gear. It also comes with this fairing in the front, making the cargo basket a little more aerodynamic in cutting down wind noise and drag while you're driving. It's very easy to install and just clamps onto your existing roof rack with this U-bolt and clamping system. This basket is rated to carry up to 150-lbs although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that amount of weight. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the cargo basket let's go ahead and show you how it installs. First we're going to go ahead and set it onto our roof rack. In some cases you may need an extra set of hands to do this. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2014 Ram 2500 Crew Cab, were going to be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket part number Y07070. With our Yakima Q Towers Roof Rack System already installed on the rail, well being our test fit by placing our basket directly onto our crossbars. On the passenger side well loosen the wing nuts and remove the T bolt from the slot on each clamp. Well then slide this portion of our rack where our clamps will go around the bars. Well then make our way around to the driver side, repeat that same process. With our clamps sitting directly on top of our bars and the lower portion going around the underside, well now start on the passenger side.Reinserting the T bolts into the appropriate slot on the lower portion of our clamp and tightening our wing nuts down to secure them. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2014 Ram 2500, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Moab rooftop cargo basket, part number TH690XT. With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system on our truck, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo basket up onto the vehicle's load bars. Now, you may need a step stool or a ladder to get the basket into position, but you can easily reach the clamps by stepping on the footplate on the inside of the cab. With the basket in position, we'll need to swing the brackets around the underside of the bar, and allow the silver bolt to go up through the holes of the two pieces. We'll then take the gray wing nut to thread down onto the silver bolt, which will put pressure between the top bracket and the bottom bracket. We'll need to repeat this process for all three of the other brackets. Once everything is all tightened down and secure, that'll complete today's test fit of the Thule Moab, part number TH690XT, on our 2014 Ram 2500. . more
